ROMAC - Rotary Medical Oceania Medical Aid For Children

ROMAC have a Mission: To provide medical treatment for children from developing countries in the form of life saving and/or dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country.

Waitakere City Rotary sponsored a child from Fiji. Liti was born with one foot facing backwards and came to NZ for surgery to correct this.

The Vanuatu Independent

In June 2009 a group of our members went to a small outlying island in Vanuatu to repair a significant earthquake damaged water tank. An article on this appeared in The Independent paper a year later

West City Holden

West City Holden have sponsored the Soapbox Derby for several years. One of our members won a "V8 Hotlaps" in the ITM car sponsored by Holden... and wrote about it.

Bill Boyd from Pakuranga Rotary was the 2nd New Zealander to ever hold the top position in Rotary - the Rotary International President.

He came to West Auckland to visit our Club.
